Actress Clare McCann begged for help before her son Atreyu took his own life after being mercilessly bullied at school

Australian Actress Seeks $195K to Cryogenically Preserve Son After Tragic Suicide

Clare McCann, an Australian actress, filmmaker, and journalist, is urgently trying to raise $195,000 to cryogenically preserve her 13-year-old son, Atreyu McCann, who died by suicide on May 23. According to a GoFundMe page created by a friend, Atreyu had endured months of severe bullying at his public school in New South Wales.

McCann stated that the family has just seven days from the time of death to begin the cryopreservation process. She believes this is the only chance for her son to potentially live again, should future scientific advances make revival possible.

"This is about hope and justice,” McCann wrote. “Refusing to let my son’s story end in silence."

Cryopreservation involves freezing a body at ultra-low temperatures, with the hope that one day, future technologies may allow for reanimation and healing, though it remains highly speculative and controversial.

The story has drawn both public sympathy and raised questions about the viability of cryonics and the emotional toll of grief.

A grieving mother Clare McCann, is seeking to raise $195,000 to cryogenically preserve the body of her 13-year-old son, who tragically died by suicide. She hopes the preservation will allow for a chance to reunite with him if scientific advancements one day enable the revival of those who have been cryopreserved.

The fundraising effort follows the teen's sudden and heartbreaking death. The mother believes that cryonics—an experimental process involving freezing the body shortly after death—might offer a glimmer of hope. Cryopreservation involves storing the body at extremely low temperatures in the hope that future medical science could potentially revive and heal the person.

The story has drawn widespread attention online, with many expressing both sympathy and skepticism. Cryonics remains controversial, as no one has ever been successfully revived from such a state, and the science behind it is still speculative.

The mother’s campaign underscores a parent's desperate hope and grief, driven by love and the belief in a possible future reunion with her son.

Clare McCann Says She 'Begged for Help' Before Son Atreyu, 13, Died by Suicide Following School Bullying

Australian actress and filmmaker Clare McCann has spoken out following the tragic death of her 13-year-old son, Atreyu McCann, revealing she had pleaded with school authorities and the government for help after relentless bullying, but her concerns were ignored.

According to McCann, the bullying began during Atreyu’s first week of Year 7 at a public high school in New South Wales and persisted for two months, until he was found dead at home by suicide on May 23.

"I begged for help,” McCann said. “I submitted complaints. I shared medical records. No one listened. He was just 13. He deserved a future".

McCann, known for her role in Channel V’s "Blog Party" and as the founder of the Sydney Women’s International Film Festival, provided a detailed timeline of Atreyu's final months. She claimed the bullying escalated during a school camp from February 7–9, where Atreyu was allegedly held underwater in a violent incident, and suffered sexual harassment, threats, and abuse. She says no report was made to her and that psychological support was not offered.

Atreyu’s story has sparked outrage and sorrow, as McCann continues her campaign to cryogenically preserve his body, raising funds through GoFundMe in hopes of one day reviving him through future scientific advancements.

Clare McCann Reveals School Failed to Act Despite Repeated Warnings Before Son Atreyu’s Suicide

Clare McCann, grieving mother of 13-year-old Atreyu McCann, continues to expose the series of failures she says led to her son's tragic suicide after relentless bullying at his New South Wales school.

McCann alleges that:

  • She was denied a meeting with teachers on February 13, even after police advised the matter be handled by the school.

  • The next day, a senior school official dismissed a violent camp incident — in which Atreyu was allegedly held underwater — as merely a "typical peer reaction." Instead of action being taken against others, Atreyu received a warning.

  • The bullying intensified: Atreyu was racially slurred during sport, and mocked for his appearance—linked to a congenital condition.

  • In March, the school was allegedly notified that students had crafted a weapon and tried to coerce Atreyu into self-harm. No disciplinary action followed, according to McCann.

  • Atreyu missed school due to fear and stress, and at one point attempted to call his mother in distress from the school grounds.

  • He also had his bag stolen and endured more public verbal abuse.

  • On April 2, Atreyu warned he would take his own life if forced to return to school.

Despite McCann’s demands for action, she says none of the alleged bullies were suspended or expelled.

McCann is now raising funds to cryogenically preserve Atreyu’s body, hoping science may one day offer a path to revival, describing it as a fight for hope, justice, and to not let his story end in silence.

She explained that the moment was simply a sweet, friendly gesture and nothing more.

The interaction left Andi Peters visibly stunned, having expected a different answer. JoJo’s candidness and charm quickly reassured viewers, as she emphasized their platonic friendship and downplayed any ongoing speculation.

JoJo Siwa surprised Andi Peters on Monday's episode of Lorraine by clarifying her relationship with Chris Hughes. Despite growing close during Celebrity Big Brother and sparking romance rumors—especially after Chris greeted her at Heathrow with red roses—the singer revealed they are just close friends, calling him her "best man."

JoJo Siwa playfully addressed romance rumors with Chris Hughes during her interview on Lorraine, telling host Andi Peters that while they’ve had “a lot of chats,” they haven’t made their relationship exclusive, joking, “we’ve never gone into the kitchen and the head is turning.” She called Chris “the best man” and laughed at how direct people have been about their connection.

The pair, who grew close on Celebrity Big Brother, recently reunited when Chris picked JoJo up at the airport with red roses, later revealed to be discounted. JoJo shared that the flowers now live in a blender bottle, calling the moment adorable.

JoJo even shared a heartfelt Instagram story of them cuddling, captioned “Just a lil longer” with a heart emoji.

Pregnant Domino Kirke Reveals How She and her husband Penn Badgley Are Preparing for Twins

Domino Kirke is embracing the beautiful chaos of expecting twin boys with husband Penn Badgley, and she's doing it with grace and openness. In a recent exclusive interview with E! News, the "Teething" singer offered a heartfelt look into her mindset as she prepares to welcome babies No. 3 and 4.

“Everyone is in the same boat, very, very fluid with it,” she shared. “I think they’re taking my lead. No one’s holding on too tight. It’s just an expansion—that’s what we’re here for.”

The couple, who already share a son, James, born in 2020, are leaning into a sense of ease and acceptance this time around. Domino’s approach to this pregnancy reflects a deep sense of trust in the process and a focus on flow rather than control.

Her comments echo the laid-back, grounded lifestyle the pair have cultivated, balancing Domino’s work as a birth doula and musician with Penn’s acting career, best known for his role on Netflix’s You.

No official due date has been shared yet, but it's clear the couple is preparing for their growing family with intention, calm, and a lot of love.

With twins on the way, Domino Kirke is entering familiar territory—but with a whole new twist. The singer and experienced doula, who shares a 4-year-old son, James, with husband Penn Badgley, and a 16-year-old son, Cassius, from a previous relationship with Morgan O'Kane, is preparing to welcome not just one, but two new additions to the family.

In her candid chat with E! News, Domino opened up about how this pregnancy feels different—and bigger—than anything she’s experienced before.

"It’s humbling," she admitted. "It’s so overwhelming. The idea of two at once, it’s one of those things where you just take your hands off the wheel, and you say, ‘I’m just on the ride.’ That’s what pregnancy and childbirth are for me."

Despite the challenges ahead, Domino’s calm and grounded attitude shines through. As someone who has spent years supporting other women through birth as a doula, she knows better than most that motherhood is often about surrendering control and trusting the process.

Now, as she and Penn gear up for the adventure of parenting twins, it’s clear they’re embracing the unknown with open hearts—and a sense of humor.

Domino Kirke is on a mission to change how we talk about birth—and how we see it.

In a recent interview with E! News, the singer and doula reflected on the mystery and magnitude of her current pregnancy with twins, noting how even after attending countless births, nothing fully prepares you for the experience.
"After attending so many births, it's the thing that you actually can't hold," she said. "There's so much mystery. You just have to trust. With twins, I'm like, 'Oh, it's that times 1,000' and I'm up for it."

That trust in the process—and a desire to demystify it—was also the inspiration behind her music video for “Teething,” a raw and emotional track from her latest album, The Most Familiar Star, released in April.

“There’s health class and there’s sex education,” Domino explained, “but there’s no conversation about how we get here.” Wanting to bridge that gap, she collaborated with her teenage son, Cassius, and a group of high school students to capture their real-time reactions to watching a birth for the first time. The result? A bold, vulnerable visual that challenges the outdated—and often frightening—images of childbirth that many from her generation grew up with.

"They were shown a gory misrepresentation of birth," she recalled of her friends raised in the ’70s. In contrast, Domino’s artistic lens focuses on the beauty, intensity, and humanity of the birthing experience—something she believes young people deserve to understand and appreciate.

As she prepares to welcome her third and fourth children, Domino is not just embracing motherhood, she’s helping to rewrite the cultural narrative around it.

Selena Gomez Shares New Intimate Pics of Recent Life With Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has given fans a personal glimpse into her life with boyfriend Benny Blanco by sharing a series of intimate new photos.

The singer and actress took to Instagram to post candid snapshots that highlight her relationship with the music producer. The collection included cozy at-home moments, casual hangouts, and sweet selfies, all showcasing the couple’s strong bond.

In one image, Selena is seen wrapped in Benny’s arms with a soft smile on her face, while another shows the two laughing together in a kitchen setting. She captioned the post with a simple heart emoji, letting the photos speak for themselves.

The pair went public with their romance in late 2023, and since then, Selena has been increasingly open about their relationship. Fans praised the post for its authenticity and warmth, with many commenting on how happy and relaxed the Rare Beauty founder appears.

The update comes amid a busy period for Selena, who has been juggling acting projects, her beauty brand, and music, all while maintaining a relatively low-key personal life.

The new photos reflect a grounded, more private side of the star, and they’ve only added to the admiration from fans who are thrilled to see her thriving both professionally and personally.

On May 21, Selena Gomez offered fans a heartfelt glimpse into her personal world by sharing a new carousel of photos on Instagram. The post highlighted moments from her recent life, featuring time spent with close friends, family, and her fiancé, music producer Benny Blanco.

The collection of images showcased warm, candid moments — from cozy hangouts to affectionate scenes with Blanco — giving followers a sense of her joy and contentment. In her Instagram Stories, she shared even more intimate snapshots of the couple embracing and kissing, further affirming their strong connection.

She captioned the main post simply: “Past and present 💕 …”, a subtle nod to reflection, growth, and gratitude for both her journey and her current chapter.

The post quickly garnered attention and admiration from fans, with many celebrating her happiness and openness in sharing these meaningful slices of life.

Selena Gomez's latest Instagram post and Stories paint a sweet and intimate portrait of her relationship with fiancé Benny Blanco.

In the first photo, the couple is standing in front of a mirror as Gomez snaps a selfie. She has one arm affectionately wrapped around Blanco's shoulders, radiating quiet closeness.

The next image captures them outdoors at night, with Gomez beaming at Blanco with a wide, genuine smile—an unfiltered moment of happiness between them.

In her Instagram Stories, Gomez shared playful black-and-white photo booth strips taken at the bar Rough Trade. The couple is seen hugging, laughing, and enjoying each other's company in the candid, joyful snaps.

A tender color photo follows, showing Blanco gently kissing Gomez on the forehead. She’s cozy in a pale pink pajama top, clutching a white mug, while Blanco sports a short-sleeved blue shirt adorned with intricate beaded embroidery on the sleeves and collar.

Together, the images reflect a relationship that’s not only loving but full of laughter, comfort, and mutual admiration—a glimpse into the “present” part of Gomez’s life, she seems happy to share.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, who got engaged in December 2024, have sparked speculation that wedding plans are well underway—if not already set in motion. The clearest hint? Ed Sheeran casually confirmed during a Vanity Fair lie detector interview in May 2024 that he’s received a wedding invitation from the couple. He didn’t divulge further details, but the confirmation alone suggests a guest list has been finalized and invites have been sent.

While the couple has been relatively private about the specifics, they've opened up here and there about their vision for the big day. During the April 30 episode of the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Gomez revealed she doesn’t plan on doing a traditional first dance with Benny at the reception.

“I don’t think we’re looking at having one of those,” she said, to which Blanco added, “She’s shy.” Gomez agreed, saying, “I feel embarrassed”.

Instead, she shared a touching plan: a special dance with her grandfather, whom she affectionately refers to as “papa.” She explained that he never had the opportunity to walk her mother down the aisle because her mom eloped in Las Vegas with her stepfather, Brian Teefey, when they were just 26. Gomez wants to give her grandfather the moment he missed, making the gesture a deeply personal tribute and one of the more emotional highlights expected at the ceremony.

Together, these glimpses into their planning suggest that Selena and Benny are aiming for a heartfelt, nontraditional wedding that prioritizes family and comfort over fanfare.

Asylum seeker fisherman who ran £12m migrant smuggling ring from taxpayer

Ahmed Ebid, a 42-year-old Egyptian-born asylum seeker, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for running a £12 million migrant smuggling operation from his taxpayer-funded flat in Isleworth, southwest London. Nicknamed "Captain Ahmed," Ebid coordinated seven dangerous boat crossings from North Africa to Italy between October 2022 and June 2023, trafficking nearly 3,800 migrants, including women and children.

Despite having been previously jailed in Italy for drug smuggling, Ebid was granted asylum in the UK and housed with his family. He exploited his position to become one of Britain's most prolific human traffickers. Shockingly, he instructed associates to kill any migrants found with phones to prevent detection by authorities.

Ahmed Ebid, a 42-year-old former fisherman and asylum seeker, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for masterminding a £12.3 million migrant smuggling ring. Officers from the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) uncovered extensive evidence during a raid on his Isleworth flat in June 2023, exposing his role in organizing seven dangerous boat crossings from North Africa to Italy, involving nearly 3,800 migrants.

Judge Adam Hiddleston, speaking at Southwark Crown Court, condemned Ebid’s “horrifying” exploitation of vulnerable men, women, and children, noting he referred to them as “cartons” and showed no empathy. Ebid instructed associates to kill any migrants carrying phones to avoid detection. He arranged vessels, crews, logistics, and paperwork, working with North African smuggling networks.

Despite claiming he earned only £12,600 for offering navigational help, prosecutors proved Ebid profited immensely, charging an average of £3,272 per person. The judge emphasized the need to send a clear message that exploiting human lives for profit and threatening border security warrants severe punishment.

Following a heated exchange with a photographer on the red carpet during the premiere of his latest film Highest 2 Lowest at the Cannes Film Festival May 19, the Oscar winner's rep confirmed that the moment didn't ruin his night. In fact, his rep told E! News in a statement May 20, “It was a great evening.

Denzel Washington had a brief heated exchange with a photographer during the May 19 premiere of his new film Highest 2 Lowest at the Cannes Film Festival. Despite the tense moment, his representative confirmed it didn’t spoil the evening, calling it “a great evening.” Denzel, 70, attended the event with director Spike Lee and co-star A$AP Rocky.

At the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Denzel Washington had a brief confrontation with a photographer on the red carpet after being grabbed.  Sarah Silverman on the heart-stopping moment she discovered her grandfather KILLED her own brother

Comedian Sarah Silverman recently revealed a heartbreaking family secret: her baby brother Jeffrey, who died at three months old before she was born, may have been killed by her grandfather. For years, Silverman believed Jeffrey had died after slipping between the mattress and crib rail and suffocating.

However, in a recent Rolling Stone interview, she shared that before his death in 2023, her father, Donald Silverman, told her he believed his own father, Max, had violently shaken Jeffrey in a fit of rage, leading to the infant's death. This contradicts the long-held family story and shocked Silverman, especially since both her parents — who rarely agreed on anything — had always told the same version of events.

While writing her 2010 memoir The Bedwetter, Silverman noted her parents had left Jeffrey in the care of his grandparents while they were on vacation. Her grandfather reportedly claimed the baby had been crying during the night and was found suffocated the next morning. No legal action was ever taken against the crib manufacturer, raising further questions.

In 2022, a year before his death, Sarah Silverman's father, Donald, attended five consecutive performances of a musical adaptation of her memoir. After the fifth show — which included a scene of young Sarah joking about her baby brother Jeffrey’s death — Donald privately revealed a shocking truth: he believed his own father, Max, had killed Jeffrey by shaking him in a fit of rage.

This revelation stunned Sarah and her team, but it immediately made sense to her given her family's history. Donald had endured a violent childhood, regularly beaten by his father, while his younger brother was spared. Their mother, Rose, had defended Max despite the abuse. Sarah added that her father often disclosed painful memories abruptly, including past abuse by a priest.

This confession reframed the long-held story of Jeffrey's death, which had always been attributed to a crib accident, and deepened Sarah’s understanding of her family's trauma.

Sarah Silverman's father, Donald Silverman, passed away in 2023, shortly after the death of his second wife, Janice, with whom he had been married for over 40 years. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Silverman described him as her “best pal” and shared that he was surrounded by family, love, and dark humor in his final days. She noted that he considered himself “the richest man in the world” because of his family.

Silverman’s new comedy special, PostMortem, which reflects on the deaths of her parents, will be available on Netflix starting May 20. Her previous specials include A Speck of Dust (2017) on Netflix and Someone You Love (2023) on HBO.

 PAEDO'S KISS
Paedo teacher Jeremy Forrest, 42, kisses and hugs new girlfriend

Jeremy Forrest, a 42-year-old former teacher and registered sex offender, has recently been seen publicly displaying affection with his new 27-year-old girlfriend, Jessica Amos, in a Kent park. The two met while working at a family-run bakery, where Forrest held a supervisory role over Amos. Their relationship reportedly began while Forrest was still married to his second wife, leading to his departure from their marital home in Canterbury and the initiation of divorce proceedings. Amos, initially unaware of Forrest’s criminal history, eventually left her job due to workplace tensions arising from their affair.

Forrest gained notoriety in 2012 when, at the age of 30, he abducted a 15-year-old pupil, triggering an international manhunt. He was arrested in France and subsequently sentenced to five and a half years in prison for child abduction and sexual activity with a minor. Upon his release, Forrest trained as a baker and remarried, but his past continued to affect his employment, leading to his dismissal from a bakery in 2023 after his criminal history was uncovered.

Currently, Forrest resides with his brother and sister-in-law in Sidcup, Kent. His new relationship has sparked public concern, particularly among advocates for abuse survivors, who caution against romanticizing individuals with histories of predatory behavior.

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson Reveal ‘Embarrassing’ Details of "Die, My Love" Sex Scenes

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson Reveal Sex Scenes ‘Embarrassing’ Details of "Die, My Love"

Lawrence and Pattinson are-two of the biggest millennial sex icons to this day. However, they did not find it easy to portray intimacy on camera during the making of their latest film.

The two celebrities attended The Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of their newest psycho-thriller, Die, My Love, on May 18. The actress admitted that the director, Ramsay, made an interesting choice during filming which had an impact on how comfortable the two actors would feel with each other.

"Lawrence recounted how humiliating it was for her when she and Pattinson attended a dance class the day before the shooting at the French Film Festival. ‘Then for our first shoot, we were literally naked, assaulting each other like tigers,’ Lawrence said.

Pattinson interjected. ‘You think it can't get more humiliating, and then they go ‘Now, do it naked!’”

Lawrence said she and Pattinson had what she termed an ‘instant trust’ and they ‘seamlessly’ collaborated. ‘You don't always get to choose your co-actors and sometimes you feel uncomfortable,’ she remarked. ‘But after some time you adapt and then you're like, imagine talking, getting directions, having snacks - all that when you are naked!’”

The Twilight star further elaborated on the қандай ролгі…

The Twilight star described the onboard intimacy coordinator’s role in making sure potentially uncomfortable sex scenes went without a hitch. “Sometimes it’s not just to feel secure, but for the actual technicality,” he explained. “Sometimes directors are afraid to say, ‘Your body looks weird in this angle!’ But if it’s someone else whose specific job is [to say], ‘You just move it a little bit, you’re going to like it more,’ it’s nice to have."

Pattinson then added with a laugh: "Someone who’s not embarrassed to say, like, 'Your butt looks fat, you’re sweating a lot, you look gross.”’

In an interview for the film, Lawrence, who had to portray the character while "four months pregnant, and pretending to be wasted," commented that throughout the production, she was secure thanks to Pattinson. “I felt safe all the time, Rob was very appropriate," she said.

In the violent dark comedy, which also stars LaKeith Stanfield, Sissy Spacek, and Nick Nolte, Lawrence portrays a mother living in the Montana countryside who develops postpartum depression and psychosis while her marriage to Pattinson’s character slowly unravels.

Lawrence and the rest of the hot pair have claimed that they are already receiving immense acclaim and even Oscar speculation for Die, My Love, with the BBC saying Lawrence is "better than ever" and The Daily Beast calling her “stunningly feral,” whereas Deadline called the film “brutal but beautiful.”

‘A Remarkable Place to Die’ (2024-Present)

Can you go home again? This is what Anais Mallory (Chelsie Preston Crayford) is simply trying to figure out as she returns to Queenstown in an attempt to assist her mother following her sister’s mysterious death. Now a local detective, Anais has to balance the occasional crime, comforting her mother, managing an ex-boyfriend who is now best friends with her husband, and investigating her sister's case. That is a lot to manage for any individual, much less someone as brilliant and self-assured as Anais.

A Remarkable Place to Die is distinctly more serious in tone than the shows already covered. It addresses death, murder, and by extension any component of true crime in a more somber nature, and hence the tone is appropriately dark. It isn’t a downer though, and similarly to Mare of Easttown, the series is about the lead character’s infamously chaotic personal life alongside her impressive work as a detective.

    ‘Harry Wild’ (2022-Present)

Harriet “Harry” Wild (Jane Seymour) is bored. That’s what happens when you’re a retired English professor with too much time on your hands and a lingering need for intellectual stimulation. She scratches her itch by solving crimes, which isn't that out of the ordinary in the U.K. crime genre. Along with high school student Fergus (Rohan Nedd), Harry sets out to prove that there’s life after retirement — even if it involves finding a dead body or two.

Harry Wild is a great showcase for Seymour, who has her best TV role since Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman. As the inquisitive professor, the actress shows a good sense of humor when Harry encounters resistance to her newfound hobby from a police force reluctant to accept her help to her caring but dismissive son. Harry Wild’s first three seasons are streaming now, and a fourth one is on its way. Season 4 just premiered in early May, so there's more wild adventures with Harry for you to enjoy.

    ‘Scrublands’ (2023-Present)

Scrublands is a mystery drama set in the quiet Australian town of Riversend, which is shattered when Father Swift (Jay Ryan), a local priest, shockingly guns down five parishioners after a church service. Though the killer's identity is known from the start, the real mystery lies in why he committed such a horrifying act.

A year later, journalist Martin Scarsden (Luke Arnold) arrives in Riversend to investigate the motivations behind the tragedy. As he interviews the townspeople, Martin uncovers a web of secrets, revealing that the town is far from the wholesome place it appears to be.

The first season, a tightly packed four-episode arc, dives deep into hidden truths and community dysfunction, delivering twists and drama that could easily fill a much longer series. In Season 2, the story shifts to Martin's return to his own hometown—another place with dark secrets people are desperate to keep buried.

    'Dalgliesh' (2021-Present)

Dalgliesh is a British crime drama based on P.D. James’ novels, following the intelligent and introspective detective Adam Dalgliesh, played by acclaimed stage actor Bertie Carvel. Though well-known in the UK, Dalgliesh is less familiar to American audiences—a gap the Acorn TV series aims to close.

Set in the 1970s, the show features complex, atmospheric mysteries, including a murder at a seminary, a politically charged crime within an elite family, and a suspicious death at an unusual hospital. More cerebral and literary than typical crime dramas, Dalgliesh blends intellectual depth with the suspense fans expect from the genre. The series has earned critical praise and recently wrapped its third season in 2024.
